Hanlyn Davies lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut.  Born in Gorseinon, Wales, he attended Swansea College of Art, and later earned his MFA from the Yale School of Art.  His work has been exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Asia and is represented in numerous public and private collections. Davies has received two Artist’s Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, along with awards from the Massachusetts Arts Foundation, The Brandywine Offset Institute in Philadelphia, and a Residency Fellowship at Yaddo Colony.  In 2000 he received an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Wales Swansea, and in 2004 a Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he chaired the Department of Art for ten years. Davies was the recipient of a 2016 Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant.
